Sometimes I feel like I just can’t keep up. Everything is always changing. We used to bet cash with bookies about whether the Knicks would win the championship, and now I can get on polymarket and bet on the state of traffic flowing through the Strait of Hormuz by the end of June, or the Rotten Tomatoes score of the new Scary Movie. Hell, Mt Everest is nearly a meter taller than when I was a kid. First they gave us vapes instead of cigarettes and now everything is AI. When nothing seems to stay the same, life gets disorienting fast. Soon you’re lost to the shores of time in Inception without a totem, belonging to no reality. But then, all of a sudden there’s something to ground you. Something you know. Something you trust. Something you love. Washed Ethiopia. When you don’t recognize the world around you, trust your heart. Trust your mouth. Washed Ethiopia- it will keep you from being lost in limbo in the movie Inception I guess is the promise I’m making. And betting has gotten really weird.
