Tips for Filtering Coffee or Espresso

With these beans, you can make both a delicious filtered coffee and an elegant espresso. For filtered coffee, use 30 grams per 500 ml of water. Warm the coffee first by adding a bit of water, allowing it to bloom. Then add the rest of the water after about 30 seconds. For 18-20 grams of finely ground coffee, you make 40-50 ml of espresso, ensuring the extraction time is between 25 and 30 seconds, so the flavors are in perfect balance!
About the Farmer

Gloria from Sakami Farms grows and roasts her own coffee and also roasts coffee from neighboring farms, all done by women. Her coffees have a typical Kenyan coffee flavor but with just a bit more body and thickness, due to the typical terroir of the area where her farms are located. In 2021 we purchased our first coffee, in 2022 more, and in 2023 we bought Gloria’s washed coffee as well as Natural coffees. Additionally, Gloria visited our roasting facility in June 2023.
