About this coffee
Orlando is the third generation producer at El Anonal, running the family farm with his son Gesler. Back in 2015 the entire plot was decimated by coffee leaf rust, leading Orlando to rethink and diversify. He replanted the farm with an assortment of disease-resistant varieties, including some more exotic varieties like gesha and pacamara, orienting production toward the specialty market.
Orlando and his family process all of their coffee at their home. This particular lot is rinsed, sorted and set to dry on african beds. After 3 days the coffee is sorted again, filtering out cherries not ripening appropriately or off-color before drying for 22 more days.
